A detailed introduction is provided hereby to explain what materials needs to be provided by the clients when the disc manufacturing enterprise undertakes the order of replication, as well as the whole process of order implementation. I/ to obtain a attorney for replication

In order to protect intellectual property rights effectively, the State Administration for News and Publications regulates that, if one wants to make replications for a read-only disc, an authority needs to be designated to examine the contents of the program beforehand. After inspection and approval, the authority shall register a number of publication for it and issue a attorney for replication. 　　
To process discs for export, one has to go to the provincial news and publication authority for approval and registration before production, and to the customs for necessary formalities concerning custom clearance and inspection when export occurs.

III/ Terms of payment:
　 Since disc processing is done according to requirements from the clients, it belongs to manufacturing by samples, not like most of other products (such as daily commodities, or even house, furniture) which are manufactured first and sold second. Intellectual property rights are also connected with the contents of a disc. The manufacturing enterprise can not resell the goods, which have already been refused by another client because of his or her own causes, to other clients. Therefore, as for terms of payment, a prepayment of 50% is normally adopted, while the remaining sum shall be paid after the client checks and accepts the goods.
The prices for "program production", "design of package and disc surface" and "purchasement of packing" are greatly changeable according to different requirements by the clients. Therefore, you'd better confirm your requirements first and get the price clarified in advance.

IV/ Production of film:
In order to minimize the uncertain factors during the production process, accelerate production course and increase operating efficiency, if you would like to entrust us to process your CD products, please carry out your designs and making for your disc surfaces and outer packing according to the strict requirements stated as follows:

1、	The definition of all picture materials which are to be used in the design diagram must be over 300dpi, the higher, the better;
2、	If it is the design diagram for the CD surface, the size and specification has to keep strictly consistent with the boilerplate provided as follows；
3、	Either MAC format or IBM PC format is permitted, recommended to adopt IBM PC format, but the diagram shall be made with CMYK mode；
4、	Use any of the following three drawing tools including the Photoshop/CorelDraw/Illustrator, the final file format must be one of PSD/EPS/CDR/TIFF, not accepting JPG/GIF/BMP format, and make sure the file can be edited again;
5、	Vector drawing software e.g. Photoshop/CorelDraw/Illustrator etc must be used if there’re many words in design drawings and the character size is very small;
6、	Please do not use compression tools such as WINZIP ,WINRAR etc to compresses the original file. Although this method can decrease file volume, the risk of the file loss shall be increased；
7、	The Min. Font size you can use when making the diagram shall not be smaller than 6 pts；
8、	If you are not convenient, we are very glad to design the On-Disc imprint and packing pattern for you, however you must provide us with basic original design materials e.g. pictures, writing and special logo etc; regarding pictures in electronic version, their resolution should be over 300dpi, the higher, the better; if it is a picture of a real object, it should be leveling and legible so that we could conduct scan through roller scanner:
9、	We suggest you to save your files in any of the following storage devices e.g. CD-R/DVD-R, portable hard disc, FLASH DISK with USB interface etc, we strongly suggest you prepare duplicate storage devices in order to prevent any possible risk.

V、Film making:

The film required for disc surface printing differs from the film used for paper printing. The film output company which does not know very clearly the know-how often makes such-and-such mistakes, this will waste time and increases the cost. Polystar suggests you to supply us the source files which are designed and prepared according to our requirements, and we will conduct the output of films.

VI、Printous For Reference:

(NOTE THAT WE REQUIRE ARTWORK TO BE SENT ON DISC ALONG WITH PRINTOUTS OF FILES FOR REFERENCE)

Special attention for one thing: At the same time when you give us the source files for pattern design, you must provide us with the corresponding proof (the color and writing must be consistent with the color and writing you need printing), it’s better that the proof patterns should be outputted with 157g Coated Art Paper through a color laser printer in CMYK mode so that we could proofread the writing and the location of graphics prior to printing. If your time is not available or it’s not convenient, then we can implement the output according to the source files supplied by you.
